About Our School
Ambassador Multicultural Chinese School (AMCS) is a Christian organisation incorporated as a non-profit making school in NSW since 1989. It is one of the leading Chinese Schools in Sydney. The school is partly funded by the Community Languages Schools Program of the NSW Department of Education and the Department of Home Affairs of the Australian government. It is a member of both NSW Federation of Community Language Schools and Chinese Language Education Council of NSW.
The school strives to promote cultural, moral, civic and Christian education. It has 3 locations (Cherrybrook, Epping and North Shore) to provide both Mandarin and Cantonese classes from kindergarten to high school levels. Our teachers are very experienced and hold proper language-teaching qualifications which are required and recognised by NSW Department of Education. All teachers also actively engage in on-going professional development programmes in order to maintain high quality language teaching.
The school actively participates in the National Chinese Eisteddfod, Creative Writing Competition and a variety of cultural experiences that are organised by various organisations in NSW. Our students have consistently achieved excellent results in previous years.

Languages Classes Provided:
Mandarin & Cantonese classes from Kindergarten to High School levels:
- Communicative and interactive approaches are emphasised to create an interesting and a relaxing learning environment for students.
- Promote proper pronunciation of Chinese through lots of practice in class time. Mandarin pronunciation is based on the fundamental learning of “HANYU PINYIN”.
- Promote the learning of Conventional Chinese Characters.

Position: Chinese Language Teacher
We are seeking multiple teachers to teach Mandarin or Cantonese at our school branches in 2022 school year. To be successful in these roles, the candidates would:
- Have a passion for teaching the Chinese Language.
- Be responsible.
- Have patience to teach children.
Language teaching experience is desirable.

Enrolment
Enrolment and Payment Procedures:
- Contact the principal of the school branch which the student intends to enrol in.
- Fill in a “Student Enrolment Form” and send it to our school’s email address: ammiamcs@gmail.com
- Payment:
- School fees (from 2024) are $300 (age under 18) and $350 (age 18 or over) for each semester (6 months).
- Payment must be made by direct transfer or deposit into the designated bank account for the school branch which the student enrols in (Account details below). Cash and cheque payments will NOT be accepted.

- Include the student’s full name and class in the payment description.
- Once a deposit or transfer has been completed, a deposit or transfer summary must be sent to ammiamcs@gmail.com to complete the enrolment procedure.
REMARKS:
Existing Students will not need to complete an enrolment form, providing proof of payment will suffice for enrolment.
Withdrawal and Refund Policy:
- Paid school fees can be refunded if a withdrawal application is lodged before commencement of the semester. Please note that a $20 admin fee will be applied on this withdrawal.
- 50% of school fees paid can be refunded if a withdrawal application is lodged within the first four weeks of the semester.
- No school fees paid will be refunded if a withdrawal application is lodged after the first four weeks of the semester.
- A student’s withdrawal application form can be downloaded from the school website.
